The Show ‘n Shine is such a great event it was mentioned on the Oprah Winfrey Show as one of the 10 best things to do on Father’s Day. During the Show ‘n Shine the whole town is wired for sound and music from the 50’s and 60’s. There are trophies galore as this Father’s Day Weekend marks their 26th annual 3-Day Celebration of a spectacular series of automotive related events in the Oceanside area of Qualicum Beach and Parksville. Don’t forget, admission to events are always ‘FREE’ to the general public!

FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND AT THE BC FOREST DISCOVERY CENTRE

Once again the Vintage Machinery Society will be presenting the Father’s Day Tractor Show at the BC Forest Discovery Centre. The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 15th & Sunday, June 16th, with a special admission rate for fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers of $3 when accompanied by their children.

THE CANADA BEER RUN
Sunday, June 16th, 2019
A 9.1k running event through the streets of Nanaimo that starts and ends with beer. The event will start at Longwood Brewery and will include beer stops at several local breweries along the way.
Participants begin in waves every 30 minutes (125 in each of the 4 waves) and run from brewery to brewery, stopping at each for 20 minutes to sample a delicious bit of what's on tap. The Beer Run is meant to be non-competitive, fun and a tad ridiculous. Costumes of all kinds are encouraged.
