 SPOOKY MOVIE MARATHON

With an abundance of Halloween movies to give you the chills there is sure to be something for everyone. From family friendly classics (Monster House, The Nightmare Before Christmas) to more serious horror affair (Halloween, The Conjuring). Get you popcorn and candies ready and let the movie marathon begin.

 VISIT A PUMPKIN PATCH

Already a great fall outdoor activity, many pumpkin patches, apple orchards, and farms are implementing social distancing protocols for their visitors.  CARVE JACK-O'-LANTERNS

Once you're done picking the pumpkins, it's obviously time to carve. Whether you're aiming for a classic jack-o'-lantern face or a more original design, pumpkin carving is the perfect activity to do outdoors, distanced from friends or with kids at home. Get creative and free-hand a design or print one of the many templates you can find online.

 DECORATE THE HOUSE

Decking out your house in all things black, orange and yellow will certainly get you in the Halloween spirit! Add your decorated pumpkins and you are all set!

 TAKE A DRIVE OR HIKE

A perfect way to embrace the season is to drive and observe the changing leaves. Better yet walk around your neighbourhood to admire the fall foliage. You really don't have to go far to see fantastic displays of red, gold, and orange trees. Don't forget to take pictures!

 FRIGHTFUL HALLOWEEN COOKIES

The best way to get in the spooky spirit is with homemade, decorated Halloween cookies. With these better-than-candy ideas, you can choose to make your dough from scratch or upgrade store-bought treats with chocolate, icing and edible decorations. Some recipe ideas here.

If you can't physically attend a Halloween party this year, don't forgo celebrating. Send out a Zoom invite link and tell your friends to mark their calendars and wear their costumes! Make a Halloween treat to enjoy on the call.

Fetch the dry ice and grab the tequila—time to make some on-theme drinks. And for the little ones? A Halloween mocktail is sure to excite.

No party, no problem, a Halloween party can be just was fun with only your family. Play some classic party games with a Halloween twist like Mummy Bandage Race. Imagine a classic sack race, but with a mummified twist! Wrap up everyone’s legs together in toilet paper (or crepe paper) and the first one to cross the finish line first without ripping the paper wins.
