Derek opened the practice in Nanaimo in 1992. His work brings together pricing and negotiation with a long-standing interest in how a home is photographed, presented and understood.
That interest extends to the technology behind the practice, from online marketing to the market tools built here. The private office gives that work a place to happen, with the people who make it close at hand.

Chris studied at the Rotman School of Management and worked in investment banking and venture capital. He helped raise capital for companies across several industries, including real estate development.
That financial background informs his work in real estate. He enjoys the collaborative side of the process: working through the details with clients and the people around him.

Client Care Coordinator
Kyra’s background combines digital marketing, Google Analytics and SEO. She took psychology at UBC, and her work connects the online side of the practice with the experience of the people moving through it.
Outside real estate, she holds a black belt in karate and earned a bronze medal at the IKGA world championships.
Photographer
Originally from Odessa, Ukraine, Alex trained as an architect and worked in interior design, construction management and project supervision before turning his attention to real estate photography.
That experience shapes how he reads a building. His photographs draw on an understanding of space and structure, as well as a long-standing interest in visual composition.
Photographer & Creative Partner
Polina came to photography and filmmaking with a background in graphic design and a master’s degree in psychology. Her work has a spare, cinematic quality, with an eye for the quieter details of a home.
She focuses on boutique real estate projects and magazine-style photography, bringing the same care to an individual frame as to a finished film.
