Coming to the Farmers’ Market makes shopping a pleasure rather than a chore; it’s a community hub – a place to meet up with your friends, bring your children, or to just get a taste of the unique coastal fare that our beautiful island has to offer.

Island Roots Summer Market

Working together to increase the community’s economic sustainability, food sustainability and food security, the Island Roots Summer Market starts on Wednesdays, May 16th from 4:00 – 6:30pm. Nanaimo Downtown Farmers’ Market 

Local Farmers’ Market in Downtown Nanaimo with live music, crafts, baking, organic vegetables and more. Located next to the Bastion and by the Harbourfront Walkway on 90 Front Street, Pioneer Waterfront Plaza. The Nanaimo Downtown Farmers’ Market runs from June 1st, 2018 to September 14th, 2018, from 10am to 2pm.

Quadra Island Farmers’ Market 

Quadra Island Farmers’ Market starts Saturday, May 5th from 10am – 2pm. The opening week features live music by Dave Blinzinger! A weekly farmers’ market on a grassy, treed field just up from the ferry that brings a wide variety of vendors from all over Quadra Island as well as Cortez and Vancouver Island. Locally grown produce, handcrafted soap, artisan chocolates, fresh baking, fair trade spices and teas, award winning maple syrup, wild berry butters as well as books, collectables, jewelry, pottery, photography, glass work, woodworking and imports.

Cedar Farmers’ Market
The Cedar Farmers’ Market continually hosts local and out of town guests and runs every Sundays, starting on Mothers Day until the end of October and begins early with the clatter of tables and tents. This close family of vendors chat and catch up on the past week’s events amidst the squeals of children, sips of coffee and soundchecks from the stage.

Errington Farmers’ Market
The Errington Farmers’ Market is turning 45! Celebrate the first market of the season to the sound of big cheers to 45 years of community, food security and creative freedom!
At this event the professionals will take the stage first, and then it is a free-for-all for everyone to come play with the ribbons and dance. FUN! Kids at heart of the celebrations will have the opportunity to make their own flower crowns and head wreaths out of daisies and honey suckle vines. CUTE!
